I am not what you would picture to be a ‘runner’ – that is what I always think when I look in the mirror at least. I started running in 2010 to get healthier and to be present in my newborn son and the love of running just developed. I have been able to complete several various race distances and hope to one day get myself to a marathon start line ha! A double achilles injury sidelined me for a few years because of the mental aspect of injury. They don’t tell you that the emotional and mental game is worse than the actual injury recovery. But, I pulled up my running shoe laces, hired a running coach and I am feeling better than ever on my ability to run. There is just something so peaceful and freeing in the pains of running
