My name is Jim Harding and I live in Southeast Wisconsin. I started running at age 12, and competed in high school and college. I ran my first marathon at age 19 and my 2:54 finish made me the fastest teen in the field at Grandma’s Marathon.
I’ve run 28 marathons, including Chicago 12 times, 9 as a pace team leader. I’ll be running Chicago this year with the Mercy Home Heroes, who will have a space at Run Show Chicago and still have entries. I’ve also run 7 ultramarathons with a personal best of 55 miles.
I’m known in my circles for my finish line leaps. My most recent came at the Big Sur Marathon in April, which is by far the most scenic race I’ve ever done. I highly recommend it.
