Hi Ben, it’s Marcus Carter AKA The Freedom Runner, and I currently reside in Lansing, IL. I’ve run the full marathon 3 times, and I’ve run 4 half marathons, including 2 half marathons this year. The half marathon distance is actually my distance to run. I started running at the age of 36, and I’m about to turn 40 in September. While I love keeping to myself, I absolutely still love running these races, and the energy that I receive from spectators cheering us on. I work full-time in a warehouse, and some of my hobbies include writing and video editing, which I have done as a side gig for a short period of time.
