My name is Michele Gurnsey, currently living in Issaquah, WA, but I hail from the land of snow and maple. For the last 33 years, I have been in pursuit of everything wild and exciting related to running. In 2010, I ran my first half-marathon while deployed to Afghanistan, which introduced me to the awesome that is distance running. Since then, I have run 71 half-marathons, 8 marathons, and 3-50Ks, looking forward to many more miles and longer distances. I am incredibly grateful to be a part of multiple running groups, through which we share inspiration and support, exploring of what each of us is capable. I love being a source of motivation, and an advocate, as much to those within my running community as I do for my patients, as a Registered Nurse. Despite my enthusiasm and encouragement, my coworkers are slow to accept my invitations for running adventures 🤣
