An icon in Boston and the global endurance scene, Dave McGillivray is most well known for being the long serving race director for the Boston Marathon and has directed or consulted on over 1,400 mass participation events while raising millions of dollars for various causes. Dave has also served as the race director for more than 150 triathlons, beginning with the Cape Cod Endurance Triathlon, which debuted in 1983, and he was inducted into the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame in 2011. Dave, an accomplished athlete in his own right, has completed the Boston Marathon course every year for the past 36 years after the race is concluded. For the first time since 2014, Dave returned to the VinFast IRONMAN World Championship in Hawai`i and completed his 10th World Championship race at 70 years young.
