Do you love running? Are you looking to start running? Inspiration, motivation, and expert advice is abundant at the brand-new event Run Show USA, Saturday 4 – Sunday 5 at the Boston Hynes Convention Center.
Over 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the expo at the beginning of February as the running community starts their training schedules for the upcoming marathon and half-marathon season. Whether you are a seasoned runner looking to improve on a PB (personal best) or you’re attempting your first 5K, this event is for everyone; and there is no better way to get inspired then hearing from some of the world’s greatest runners.
Speakers looking to motivate every day runners include the 10-time Olympian and icon Carl Lewis, ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes (named by TIME magazine as one of the 100 most influential people), Sally McRae who recently won BADWATER 135 (claimed as one of the toughest footraces on the planet) and Gary Robbins who is famed for the documentary ‘Where Dreams Go To Die’, telling the story of his attempt to complete the Barkley Marathons. Other speakers include Jacky Hunt-Broersma, Dave McGillivray, Tom Falker, Denise Sauriol, Aaron Perry, Henry Ward and many more known faces in the running industry.
Interactive practical advice and products
Brands and features within the exhibition offer runners expert advice and products to suit individual needs, with lots of taster sessions and workshops including Strength Training Sessions by Wellness in Motion at Boston’s mobile wellness stage MotionStudio, Yoga for Runners by Deanie the Yogini and a ChiRunning Run Clinic to help improve posture and technique of running. MyGym will present a Kids Get Active Zone for children to learn strength, balance, coordination, and agility and visitors can meet other runners the Run Café sponsored by Boston.com. Runners can receive soft tissue therapy at the Treatment Zones by Wellness in Motion and can head to the Recovery Zone sponsored by OOFOS & Hyperice to receive advice and products for how best to recover after long runs.
Coaches Corner presented by Team Run Run offer pre-booked sessions with a selection of Boston coaches for runners to connect and improve their experience of running. The team will run Campfire discussions about runner’s mindset, coming back from injury, slowing down to get faster and running your first marathon. The B.A.A. will be bringing their collection of memorabilia and the Gloria Ratti Collection to inspire visitors.
Running shoes are a key part of the show’s offering and to help visitors choose their most suitable footwear, Aetrex are on hand to provide free gait analysis scanning which can provide a full overview of your gait.
An Events Village at the show hosted by RaceRaves will help runners to find their perfect challenge or goal for the year ahead featuring races to suit all abilities. Races organizers include; Azores Trail Run, Rhode Races, Sun Multisport Events, Clarence DeMar Marathon, Greater Lowell Road Runners, Bedford Half Marathon, Smokey Mountain Relay and Six 03 Endurance.
Inspiration for distance, road & trail
Steve Fleck, race announcer and host of the Trail & Ultra Stage (sponsored by Runderwear) will help runners to further their distance and take on an ultra, improve trail running techniques, find resilience in running and finding the right trail running shoes. A women’s panel for Women on the trails will include 104 marathon amputee finisher, Jacky Hunt-Broersma plus Sally McRae, The Mirnavator and Zoe Rom all to be interviewed by Women’s Running. The running underwear experts and sponsor of the Trail & Ultra Stage, Runderwear willtalk visitors through the facts in ‘Boob health while running’ too.
The Marathon, Track & Road stage (sponsored by Sports Tours International) and will be hosted by race announcer Rudy Novotny. The sessions will present runners with a weekend of inspiration helping to provide information on how to recover fast, pace runs and manage nutrition. Dave McGillivray will host a panel about 7 marathons in 7 continents in 7 days and the B.A.A. will discuss the importance of running clubs and the help they provide, whether beginner or high-performance athlete. Coach Alli Felsenthal will share her wisdom for specialized strength and drills for distance running and Denise Sauriol will be aiming to provide inspiration for first time marathoners with her session ‘You too can do 26.2’. Promotions & Product Launches
Puma will debut their brand-new running shoe for visitors to purchase at the event. This will be the first time the shoe is launched to market and it’s first selling moment to the public will be Saturday February 4th at the Run Show Boston.

All Sport Events are giving free hydration belts to all those who sign up at the show, whilst Race Awesome are offering 10% off new signings for their race. The event poses many opportunities for visitors to get free swag, giveaways and deals for runners.
JogOn will be at the show collecting old running shoes to be upcycled and saving them from going to landfill. If visitors have an abundance of running shoes which are no longer needed, they must tie their pairs together and bring them to the show to add them to collection points.
