My running journey started way back, as a kid I ran multiple 5Ks and 10Ks with my dad. After that I picked up running on and off during the years but my main love back then was field hockey, I played for almost 25 years until I was 33
In 2017, I realized it was time to take my health more seriously and I started running again, initially to lose weight. Fast forward and 50lbs down, I ran 7 half marathons and currently training for my first marathon in 2021.
Running is my happy place, it helps me with my mental health as well. It clears my mind, gives my energy and focus on a daily basis. I love all running, roads and trail but mostly running longer distances, the excitement of heading towards the weekend and knowing I get to do my long run never gets old.
I might not be a fast runner, but I am a runner, every run is a new adventure and my love for running continues to grow with every mile!
