Runner, RRCA-certified coach, adventurer, professor, mom, international traveler and resident, social justice activist, author, and food/drink/nature-lover with an eclectic personal and professional background hard to sum up in a sentence! I run because it gives me joy, keeps me grounded, and makes me feel more fully alive. Having struggled with self-acceptance in my earlier competitive running days, I regained my love for running at 40 when I began marathoning. I’ve since enjoyed many PRs and BQs, but my greatest success has been my own happiness. I coach women runners of all ages, sizes, shapes, hues and levels through The Atalanta Effect. My passion is to use running (at any pace and in any place) as a journey of self discovery, empowerment and change at the individual and community levels. I am deeply committed to expanding access to the sport and through running and and coaching I support social change organizations throughout Boston and across the world where I have lived.
