I started running in 2017. I was looking to lose weight, feel better and gain more confidence in myself. I struggled with consistency in the beginning. I wasn’t eating or fueling properly which made most of my runs a struggle.
In 2018 I ran my first marathon and finally found my groove. I ran 3 marathons back to back 6 months apart and burnt out hard. 2020 was not an ideal year for anyone, but I found the strength and determination to push myself and take care of my body. I found better nutrition, a more constant training plan and proper recovery. I lost 30 pounds and gain strength, speed and confidence.
I have found a running community that supports and encourages me. I continue to love running and give back when ever I can. Helping others find the joy in running has been one of the best experiences I’ve embraced over the years.
